1976 - Animation

Bruno Bozzetto has transformed more than 60 years of Italian history into a drawing, he has been the author of several animated feature films and numerous short films, many of which feature his “Signor Rossi” x\symbol of the average Italian citizen struggling with the malpractice of society. Among the most famous works now available on all digital platforms is “Allegro non troppo” (1976) animated music film in which the art of Bozzetto meets the classic works of Stravinsky, Debussy, Vivaldi and other famous composers, in the wake of the film Walt Disney “Fantasia”, “West and Soda” (1965), one of the first Italian animated feature films as well as a humorous anticipation of the Spaghetti Western genre, and “Vip, mio fratello superuomo” (1968), a parody of the superhero world, with the voice of minivip entrusted to Oreste Lionello, that denounces the risks faced by a society that runs after consumerism. Among the short films in new and old distribution we remember “Mister Tao”, winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival in 1990, “Locusts”, nominated for the Oscar the following year, and many other works of the Milanese artist made famous in television broadcasts and scientific and cultural dissemination.
