Minerva Pictures, over the years, has developed one of the strongest expertises in the digital exploitation of audiovisual content at European level, starting collaborations with all the most influential digital distribution platforms.

Starting in 2020, Minerva Pictures is the first independent company to launch channels on Amazon Prime Video Channels: Rarovideo Channel, the editorial label defined by the New York Times “the finest European film boutique“, Full Action, pure energy and adrenaline, Minerva Classic, the memory of Italian cinema, and The Film Club, the other half of cinema. The company is also the first and only Italian company to enter the Apple world with its own channel, Minerva Pictures, on Apple TV+.

The digital offer of Minerva Pictures expands through its linear Channels for TV. Since 2020 the company has opened five FAST Channels: Bizzarro Movies, Cinema Italiano, CineWestern, Adrenaline Movies and Risate all’italiana, available for free on several Smart TVs and platforms such as Samsung TV Plus, Rakuten TV, LG Channels, Plex, Rlaxx TV. In addition to working with TVOD platforms such as Google Play, Rakuten TV, Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Variety and Sky, Minerva Pictures also collaborates with the AVOD platforms Pluto TV and Rakuten TV, and is now launching its first international FAST Channels.

Since 2014 Minerva Pictures has been present on YouTube with Film&Clips, the largest Italian free and legal channel dedicated to cinema on Youtube, among the first ones in Europe. With over 7 million subscribers and more than 3 billion total views, Film&Clips has turned into a high-performing ecosystem of vertical channels, divided by genre and language to intercept specific audience targets. Of the 40 vertical channels that make up the Film&Clips universe, 7 have reached the special milestone of 100 thousand subscribers and obtained the Silver Creator Award from YouTube. In 2023 Film&Clips further expanded its horizons by opening its doors to the world of short films, launching 2 channels powered by WeShort, the streaming platform for quality short cinema owned by Minerva Pictures.

In the SVOD world, Minerva Pictures inaugurated in 2022 Movieitaly+, the first and only subscription streaming service entirely dedicated to Italian cinema for audiences in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Israel. With more than 350 titles in original Italian language, with English and French subtitles, Movieitaly+ promotes, through the evocative power of cinema, the language, landscape, habits and stories of the best of Italian culture. Starting from April 2023 Movieitaly+ is also available on Roku.

During the Biennale Cinema 2022 Minerva Pictures has launched The Film Club, the first Italian multichannel platform that brings its audience back to the cinema! An exclusive catalogue of auteur and genre films – classic, cult, action and rare – composes the offer of the three currently available channels: Rarovideo Channel, Minerva Classic and Full Action. The channels can be subscribed singularly or by choosing the comprehensive subscription plan The Film Club Premium, with a catalogue of over 1000 content constantly updated and a free cinema ticket per month to use on Thursdays in one of the 2,500 screens affiliated throughout Italy, including those of the UCI and The Space circuits. In 2022 and 2023, The Film Club is official partner of the Venice International Critics’ Week (SIC).

Finally, Minerva Pictures launched Visit Italy With Movies in 2022, a digital project by Minerva Pictures aimed at promoting the internationalization of the image of Italy through cinema and audiovisual content. Visit Italy With Movies offers cinephiles, fans of Italian culture and tourists from all over the world a virtual space to discover and visit the locations of their beloved Italian films.
