Annarita Zambrano’s “Rossosperanza” is the winner of the Titrafilm Award at the prestigious Les Arcs Film Festival where the first images of the film were presented, in the Work in Progress section.

Shot for 7 weeks between Gaeta and Rome, Rossosperanza now being edited is a black comedy set in the late eighties, starring Margherita Morellini, Leonardo Giuliani, Ludovica Rubino, Luca Varone, Daniela Marra, Andrea Sartoretti, Antonio Zavatteri, Rolando Ravello, Claudia Zanella.

In a luxurious villa, an exclusive rehabilitation institute for difficult children, the sixteen-year-old Zena meets Alfonso, Vittoriano and Marzia. They all come from rich, wealthy families, they’ve all done something terrible.

Rossosperanza is produced by Mad Entertainment with Rai Cinema, in co-production with Ts Productions and in association with Minerva Pictures, with the support of Lazio Cine International and Mic.

Annarita Zambrano has made numerous short films selected at the Berlinale, the Cannes Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival. In 2013, she directed for Rai and Ciné+ L’anima del Gattopardo, which reads in a political key the masterpiece of Luchino Visconti. Her first feature film, After the War, was presented at Cannes at Un Certain Regard in 2018.
