The North Sea

2021 - Action, Drama

The North Sea, a film directed by John Andreas Andersen, tells of the events that followed the collapse of an oil rig on the Norwegian coast. The structure had been built in 1969, when the Norwegian government discovered a large oil field right in the North Sea and, determined to profit from it, launched a major financial campaign.
Fifty years have passed since that day, and now that the platform has collapsed, researchers-while trying to figure out what happened-discover that this is just the beginning of something even more terrible.

World premiered at the 16th edition of the Rome Film Festival.
