Milan, spring 1972. While an election campaign full of tension and punctuated by several clashes and accidents is burning down the city, in the suburbs the sixteen-year-old Maria Grazia Martini is found dead. Soon, for political reasons, the newspaper “Il Giornale”, close to the right-wing and with the agreement of the police, builds “the monster” finding the culprit among the circles of the extra-parliamentary left-wing. This movie captures a precise historical context, while representing a burning issue that addresses the manipulation of reality by the press and its bonds with the political power.
