Rarovideo Channel Celebrates David Lynch with an Exclusive Collection!

One year after the passing of one of the most influential and visionary filmmakers in the history of cinema, and on the anniversary of his birth, Rarovideo Channel pays tribute to David Lynch with an extraordinary exclusive collection featuring seven of his ten feature films, a selection of his most important short films, and numerous bonus contents. A hypnotic and immersive journey into the universe of an author who rewrote the rules of cinematic storytelling, shaping a disturbing, dreamlike and deeply symbolic imagination that has left an indelible mark on contemporary cinema.

The collection includes some of the most iconic titles from Lynch’s filmography:

Eraserhead (1977), Lynch’s astonishing feature debut, an experimental horror film made over the course of five years, telling the story of a young couple struggling to care for a monstrous child, the embodiment of their deepest fears and primal anxieties.

The Elephant Man (1980), his second feature, inspired by the true story of Joseph Merrick, a tale of rare humanity and heartbreaking tenderness. Nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor for John Hurt; winner of four Golden Globes and three BAFTA Awards, including Best Film. The cast also includes Anthony Hopkins and Hannah Gordon.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992), the dark and unsettling prequel to the cult series Twin Peaks, presented in competition at the Cannes Film Festival. The film follows the last seven days in the life of Laura Palmer, a small-town girl trapped in a double life and destined for a tragic and inexorable descent into hell. The story is accompanied by the unforgettable score by Angelo Badalamenti.

Lost Highway (1997), a surreal and labyrinthine noir that dismantles narrative linearity and stands as a true cult film, cementing Lynch’s international reputation.

The Straight Story (1999), Lynch’s most linear and luminous film, presented in competition at the 52nd Cannes Film Festival. A physical and spiritual journey of a man in search of forgiveness, accompanied by Angelo Badalamenti’s music, which earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Score. It is also the final film starring Richard Farnsworth, who received an Academy Award nomination for his performance.

Mulholland Drive (2001), the director’s most famous, iconic and beloved film, winner of the Best Director Award at Cannes. A dark fairy tale set in Hollywood, where dreams and identities shatter in a magnetic and enigmatic work. Naomi Watts and Laura Harring guide us through an illusory journey of desire, deception and unspeakable secrets. The film also received an Academy Award nomination for Best Director and four Golden Globe nominations, including Best Drama and Best Screenplay.

Dumbland(2002), a collection of eight corrosive and provocative animated short films, pushing the limits of visual anarchy.

Inland Empire (2006), first presented at the 63rd Venice International Film Festival, represents the apex of Lynch’s experimentation: pure cinema and the master’s final feature film.

Completing the collection is Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces (2014), an exclusive anthology of deleted and previously unseen scenes from Fire Walk with Me, along with a selection of Lynch’s most significant short films, including Dynamic: 01 (2007), Lumière et compagnie (1995), Six Men Getting Sick (1967), The Alphabet (1969), The Grandmother (1970), The Amputee (1974) and The Cowboy and the Frenchman (1988).

An essential journey into the heart of the Lynchian imagination, available exclusively on Rarovideo Channel — the boutique of rare, auteur and experimental cinema.
