Minerva Pictures and Alice nella città with three must-see movies and one short film

Minerva Pictures participates in the next edition of Alice nella Città, directed by Fabia Bettini and Gianluca Giannelli, with three must-see movies and a short film!
With “To Leslie” we present the Italian preview of the year’s cinematic case in the 2023 Academy Awards race, thanks to the extraordinary performance of Andrea Riseborough, main character of the movie. The first independent opera, shot in just 18 days in Los Angeles, To Leslie arrives at the Academy Awards on the wave of the most surprising support campaign of all time by the Hollywood star system. A story of fall and rise, the portrait of a single mother struggling to rebuild her life in the heart of Texas. Out of competition, it is the first title of a selection dedicated to female storytelling.
“Holly”, by Fien Troch, already in the official selection in Competition at 80 th Venice Film Festival and shortlist for the 36th edition of the European Film Awards. A Minerva Pictures distribution. Presented at Alice nella Città in the Sintonie section, in collaboration with the Venice Film Festival.
“Eravamo bambini – We were children”, by Marco Martani. The story of five friends who meet twenty years later dealing with a trauma that affected all their lives. A co-production by Minerva Pictures and Wildside, in collaboration with Vision Distribution and Sky. Presented in competition in the Panorama Italia section.
“Mi pequeño Chet Baker” by Mauro Diez, an amazing black and white musical that tells a night in Diego’s life, he is a young trumpeter haunted by a great pain. Music by Raphael Gualazzi. Produced by CSC – Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and distributed by Minerva Pictures. In competition in the section Onde Corte – Concorso Panorama Italia.
