“Metti, una sera a cena” will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival in a new 4K restored version.

Minerva Pictures is pleased to announce that “Metti, una sera a cena” (1969), the celebrated classic by Giuseppe Patroni Griffi featuring a score by Ennio Morricone, will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival, where it originally premiered in competition in 1969. The film will be presented in the Cannes Classics section in a new 4K restored version, carried out at the laboratories of L’Immagine Ritrovata in collaboration with CSC – Cineteca Nazionale and @sndfilms – Société Nouvelle de Distribution.

The restoration premiere will be attended by maestro Dario Argento, who co-wrote the screenplay alongside Giuseppe Patroni Griffi.

The cast includes Jean-Louis Trintignant, Florinda Bolkan, Lino Capolicchio, Tony Musante, Annie Girardot and Adriana Asti.

The film is distributed in Italy by Minerva Pictures and RTI.
