Lino Banfi Returns to Rai 1 Ahead of His 90th Birthday with the Documentary Lino d’Italia – Storia di un itALIENO

Following its successful premiere at the Bif&st – Bari International Film & TV Festival, where it was warmly received as part of the tribute dedicated to Lino Banfi and presented to audiences at the Teatro Petruzzelli, Lino d’Italia – Storia di un itALIENO is set to air in prime time on Rai 1.
Directed by Marco Spagnoli, the documentary retraces the extraordinary career of one of Italy’s most beloved actors and comedians, while also revealing the personal story of the man behind the stage name, Pasquale Zagaria. Through rare archival footage, exclusive interviews and a narrative that blends documentary storytelling with theatrical staging, the film offers an intimate and original portrait of Banfi’s life and artistic journey.
The documentary will air on Tuesday, July 8 at 9:30 p.m. on Rai 1, on the eve of the actor’s 90th birthday.
