While the two families are preparing a surprise birthday party for Nora, a series of strange events begins to disrupt the apparent calm of the place. Small anomalies soon turn into increasingly unsettling signs, bringing hidden tensions to the surface and creating a growing sense of threat.

In this suspended atmosphere, isolation becomes oppressive, and what once seemed familiar and safe gradually reveals its darker side.

Thomas, Nora, and their teenage daughter Ida live in a remote marshland area, cut off from the outside world and with minimal social contact. The only nearby presence is Cristina, an Italian painter and their sole neighbor.
