Il nascondiglio

2025 - Comedy

Set in May 1968 in Paris, the film follows the story of Christophe, a nine-year-old boy left in the care of his family while his parents participate in the student protests. Christophe spends the crucial days of the uprisings in the family’s distinctive apartment on Rue de Grenelle, alongside his grandparents, two uncles (one an artist, the other an intellectual), and his lively great-grandmother of Ukrainian descent. The film portrays the daily life of this quirky family unit, which turns their home into a true nest, and their bohemian, nonconformist lifestyle (in contrast to the deeply bourgeois and Parisian lifestyle of their neighbors) as a source of belonging and identity.
