Good Boy

2025 - Thriller

The new film by director Jan Komasa (previously nominated for an Academy Award in the Best International Feature Film category for his film Corpus Christi).

The film is an intense and unsettling thriller, a dark fairy tale that raises uncomfortable questions about freedom, the dangers of care, and the choices that define who we are. Tommy, a nineteen-year-old delinquent, lives a life of drugs, parties, and violence. After a wild night of excess with his friends, he becomes separated from the group and is kidnapped by a mysterious figure.

Though no stranger to violence, he is horrified when he wakes up with a chain around his neck in the basement of the secluded home of the wealthy family of Chris (Graham), his wife Kathryn (Riseborough), and their young son Jonathan. The abduction is part of this strange family’s plan to turn Tommy into a “good boy.”

Subjected to forced rehabilitation while trapped within a deeply dysfunctional household, Tommy must choose between appeasing his relentless captors or attempting to escape at any cost.
