Minerva Pictures and FilmClub Distribuzione at Lucca Comics & Games 2026

24 September 2026

Minerva Pictures and FilmClub Distribuzione return to Lucca Comics & Games 2026 with a special programme of screenings and previews!

The line-up kicks off on October 30 with Momo – The Story of Lost Time, based on the bestselling novel by Michael Ende, author of The NeverEnding Story. Momo, a kind-hearted orphan, embarks on an extraordinary adventure when a blue turtle leads her to the mysterious Master Hora, played by Martin Freeman, as she sets out to confront the thieves of time and change a destiny that seemed already written.

Also screening on October 30 is Arachnid – Ragnatela letale, a new claustrophobic horror film from the producers of John Wick, starring Matilda Lutz. When an apartment building is placed under quarantine following an infestation of deadly spiders, its residents must find a way to survive without any help from the outside world.

The programme concludes on October 31 with The Nameless Ballad. Following its World Premiere at FrightFest London, the unsettling new horror film by Federico Zampaglione arrives in Lucca for a special preview in the Notti Horror section, with the director, co-writer Barbara Baraldi — writer and editorial curator of Dylan Dog — and lead actress Giglia Marra attending the screening.

In the film, a young musician struggling with a creative crisis retreats to an isolated villa in search of inspiration. But the discovery of an old piano and a forgotten diary draws him into a spiral of obsession, visions and ghostly presences, pushing him ever closer to the edge of madness.
