Costanera

In production - Musical

The story follows Diego, a young, talented yet restless trumpet player who decides to leave Rome and his girlfriend Alice to join his mentor Nacho in Argentina. There is no contract waiting for him, no career guarantees; Diego leaves simply because he wants to truly try being a musician, to test that choice without excuses. The journey soon proves to be more existential than professional.

In Buenos Aires, Diego immerses himself in a new environment made of music-filled nights and feverish improvisations, but above all he finds love again in Camila, a young aspiring translator who completely overwhelms him. Through her, the questions that have long accompanied him become unavoidable: does he really want this life? Is he chasing an authentic desire, or does he simply need to believe in something that sets him apart?

Costanera tells the story of a young man striving to live up to the image he has of himself. For Diego, jazz is an all-consuming passion—almost an obsession—around which his entire life revolves. At first, playing is also a way to feel like someone, to define his identity. Over time, however, music takes on a different meaning: it is no longer just what defines him, but a profound necessity.
