Directed by Daniele Cini and produced by Claudia Pampinella for Talpa Productions, in co-production with D4 Srl and in cooperation with Médecins Sans Frontières, Association Comunità Giovanni XXIII and Sea watch, distributed by Minerva Pictures.
The documentary traces Gennaro’s life and his incessant tour around the world, from Colombia in defense of local farmers, to Palestine where he accompanies Palestinian children to school, humanitarian corridors for Syrians in Lebanon, then on board a search and rescue ship in the Mediterranean to move to epidemics such as Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Covid-19 first in Italy and now in Yemen, as a humanitarian operator of MSF. Between the continuous boarding and disembarkation, Gennaro also shows the deep bond with his hometown Taranto where, every time, he leaves the affection of family and friends.
